Real Food People is the company behind Ăn Viet, which literally means to “Eat Viet”. It is a casual dining restaurant serving authentic Vietnamese street food with outlets in The Gardens Mall and Sunway Pyramid.
Ăn Viet was conceived with the aim to get people to “Eat” their food, in response to the horrendous amount of food that goes to waste – a whopping 1/3 of the food produced for human consumption globally, according to the Food and Agriculture Organisation.
In Vietnamese cooking, creative preparation methods ensure that every part of the plant or animal is turned into a delicious dish, making it the perfect cuisine to embody the cause of reducing food waste.
At Ăn Viet, customers can pick the number of grams of rice (120g, 160g, 200g) and noodles (80g, 120g, 160g, 200g) they would like to have with no difference in price, to encourage people to order only what they can finish and do their part to minimise global food wastage.
ZeroWasteHero.blog is another initiative by Real Food People to bring people who care about the limited resources on Earth and want to make a difference.
Join the fight! Be a Zero Waste Hero!
